Expectations

You will only get out of these classes what YOU put in to them. To get the most out of the classes the following are the instructor’s expectations for success:

  • Watch or listen to the online lectures BEFORE attending the in-person class

  • If notes are provided, read through the notes before class

  • Come to class with questions

  • Do any of the required readings

  • When time permits, look at the “For Further Study” section of the notes

  • Actively participate in the class activities

  • Complete the class project at the end of the term

Course FAQ

  • These classes are designed for those in leadership roles at their local church who want to refine and expand their leadership abilities, without the commitment of going to school full-time.

  • There will be required reading assignments and an open-ended project that takes place at the end of the term.

  • There will be a few required reading purchases, all relatively affordable.

  • Each class will be primarily taught online through videos that can be listened to at your own pace, along with one or two in-person workshops.

  • Unlike the video lessons, the in-person lesson is a more hands-on workshop with group activities and discussions.

Please note, childcare is not provided during this time.

  • No. You will be responsible for finding childcare during class. Please note there should be no unsupervised children in the building.
